To give permission for someone to do something, or to not prevent something from happening.
Example: You're not allowed to talk during the exam.

Noun
A place that is smart, for example the houses of the future.

A person who drives a spacecraft, but also used to designate people who participated in Soviet space flights.

To become dark or darker in colour.

Speed of light, is the speed at which light waves propagate through different materials. In particular, the value for the speed of light in a vacuum is now defined as exactly 299.792.458 meters per second.
Example: The speed of light has a value of 299.792.458 meters per second.
